The Anchorage Young Cancer Coalition gathers for just about any event that members are interested in. See the current schedule of events on our private Facebook page or email info@anchorageyoungcancer.com. Previous events have ranged from craft and game nights to snow tubing and Thanksgiving feasts. If you don’t see an upcoming event that meets your interests let us know what gets you excited. We are always interested in trying new activities. Regardless of the scheduled activity you can always be yourself with our group.
Trent Waldron 10K and Half Marathon
http://www.anchoragerunningclub.org/twghm.html
Join us on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend every year for our running fundraiser with the Anchorage Running Club for the Trent Waldron Run. Proceeds from this race are donated to AYCC to help make all of our events free for cancer club members so anyone can attend regardless of their financial situation. You can choose to run or walk a 10K (6.2 miles) or a half marathon (13.1 miles) – it’s the first Anchorage half marathon coming out of the winter months and a nice flat, fast course starting and ending at the Westchester Lagoon and running along the Campbell Creek trail to the turn-around point.
Texas 4000

For the last 4 years, our group has partnered with the Texas 4000 as they have provided grants for restorative retreats for cancer club members and their families to attend together. We recognize, appreciate and are always in awe of the massive amount of work that these college students put in to raise money for cancer research and to help those diagnosed with cancer by riding their bikes from Austin, TX to Anchorage, AK over the summer. Please check out the webpage for more information on this amazing group!
